Tennessee Hog Rifles
Student of the Appalachia Mt. Rifle

Wee Nellie
This is a very special rifle.  She now resides with Brad, my new friend in the land down under.  Let me tell you, there was some red tape involved to get her there too.  The other thing that makes her special is I was lucky enough to use one of the last hand forged and hand rifled barrels made by Steve Bookout.  All the hardware was hand forged, trigger are hand made and she was worked from a blank of straight grained Iowa Walnut.  A real Hog Rifle if there ever was one.  .
Here's a picture of Brad holding Wee Nellie and a couple of Rabbits harvested on their first hunting trip.
Look at them TN triggers.  They stick out for a mile and are easily spotted if you know what to look for.
Here's the patchbox.  How's does that lid release look compared to a store bought one?  Here's a tutorial on making a set of springs for a banana patchbox.

Showing off the brass tailed lock.  You don't see many locks like that.
If you look close you can see the grain in the wrought iron barrel.  If you want to know more about forging and rifling barrels you might want to check out my good friend, Steve Bookout's site.   He has some good info on his site as well as a DVD and book on rifling a barrel.
